Our high-tech side is cutting edge. We have been producing custom plastic parts for 5 years using some of the best machines in the 3D printing world. We use 3D scanning technology to produce some models but most of our miniatures start as very detailed three dimensional CAD drawings. Our engineers take great care to get the models the same as the original real-world object. Once we have the accurate design, we scale it to whatever size the customer is requesting.
Where we came from.
All Scale Miniatures is a company located in a small South Dakota town. Humboldt, South Dakota has about 500 people and is a great place to live and work. We are located about 15 miles from the largest metropolitan area of South Dakota, Sioux Falls. The entire Sioux Falls area consists of about 265,000 people. This small town, rural area is the perfect place for a company like ours. We have dedicated, hard-working, and very talented people here. Each person brings the talents they have to the workplace and we are very lucky to have a great team as well as a fun place to work.
We started making miniatures in 2017 for a university that was testing its ideas in miniature before scaling them up. Shortly after that, Steve our operations manager talked to the owner of a company that makes and sells 1:16 scale replacement toy parts and we started making parts for his company. We were then contacted by the local train club to make parts for a new display and we have been creating models and building parts from then on.
We decided to launch allscaleminiatures.com so people would have a single location to explore, request and order miniatures in many different scales. To date, we have made Acetylene cylinders to Zoo animals and everything in between. Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to produce it for you.

I have always loved art. I studied animation at university and have fallen in love with 3D design. I love working at a place where what I can create is only limited by my imagination, and my imagination has never been in short supply.
Steve - Operations Lead
I loved building, detailing, and customizing model cars, trucks, planes and ships as a kid. Now as an adult, I've come full circle and have the opportunity to revisit that life. I have many hobbies including being outdoors gardening and landscaping but I especially love working in my shop.
Jacob - Engineer
I am one of the model designers. I work with the team to identify models that have never been done before and then create highly detailed projects. I enjoy the creative workspace at All Scale Miniatures and the ability to bring new models to market.
